Shirin Dehghan, Talks About Her Journey on “The Science of Business” Podcast

Oxford, 27th September 2024 – We’re excited to share that Oxford Algorithms’ CEO, Shirin Dehghan, was featured in the latest episode “From Revolution to Serial Founder – Shirin Dehghan’s Tech Journey” of the podcast The Science of Business – A Founder’s Story. Interviewed by Hannah Prevett, Deputy Editor at The Times, Shirin shared her inspiring stories and some of her wisdom on navigating challenges, building businesses, and staying ahead of technological trends.

Shirin took us back to her experience during the revolution in Iran, describing the fear she faced when she escaped at the age of 14 to move to the UK. Instead of letting these challenges defeat her, she used them to fuel her drive, building resilience and strength that would later shape her career. With a deep interest in technology, Shirin became an engineer and eventually founded her first tech startup, which she successfully scaled and sold for $85 million. In the podcast, Shirin discusses how she combined innovation with her entrepreneurial mindset and technical expertise, from seizing the rise of mobile technology during the iPhone boom to now being at the forefront of the AI revolution. Together with Dr. Mohsen Zadeh-Koochak, Founder and CIO at Oxford Algorithms, Shirin is on a mission to replicate her success, aiming to grow the AI-powered hedge fund to $1 billion.

Listen to Shirin’s journey about how she overcame challenges and continues to lead with passion and ambition.
